A Slovenian player has won €60 million, the largest lottery taking in the country to date, in the transnational lottery Eurojackpot, the Slovenian national lottery has announced.

The Slovenian split the €120 million jackpot with a German player by matching five correct numbers out of 50 plus another two supplementary numbers out of another 12 numbers.

The winning combination in the 23 April draw was 2, 3, 6, 15, 35 with supplementary numbers 1 and 3.

The lucky winner can get the money after 6 May and has until 22 July to come forward.

After paying the 15% gaming tax, they will get €51 million in a single payment.

The winner remains anonymous by default, but at least their approximate place of residence can be identified because the entire tax take goes to the municipality where they reside.

Loterija Slovenije, the national lottery operator, says six Slovenians have so far won more than a million euros in Eurojackpot.

The previous record take was worth €28.2 million and was paid out in 2014.

In April, a lucky player won €1.96 million in Loto, the most popular national lottery game, in what was the highest winning since the rules of the game changed in autumn 2023 to increase the chances of winning and increase the prize fund.
