Slovenia Will Host ECB Governing Council Meeting in October

The Governing Council of the European Central Bank (ECB) will hold a meeting in Slovenia on 4 October. The Council meets outside its seat in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, twice a year.

Meeting twice a month in Frankfurt, the Governing Council of the ECB is responsible for making decisions regarding the monetary policy of the Eurosystem.

One of this year's meetings was hosted in Barcelona in spring. In 2013, the Governing Council will visit Bratislava and Paris.

The meeting, at the Brdo pri Kranju Congress Centre, will be organised by the Slovenian central bank and the ECB.
