Jesus Christ Superstar

Ljubljana will host a new production of the famous rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar, staged with 30 actors from London's West End. Jesus Christ Superstar was the first musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice to be produced for the professional stage. The show opened on 9 August 1971 at the Mark Hellinger Theatre in New York and had its London premiere on 9 Augusta 1972. By the time it closed, after eight years and 3,358 performances, it had become the longest-running musical in West End history.
