In September Banja Luka will host one of the most renowned personalities of our time. Jacque Fresco is a great pioneer. He envisions a future where there is no money, but a resource-based economy, where every person on Earth would be able to lead a dignified life, with high moral, social and ecological standards. He named this The Venus Project. He will be joined by his Venus Project colleague, Roxanne Meadows, and the two will lead a lecture on a better future. The programme will also include the premiere of the documentary film “Paradise or oblivion”, and the short film “Designing the Future”.

Hello Stefan,
you need to learn more about the Venus Project. It is not like communism. Check the faq : http://www.thevenusproject.com/en/the-venus-project/faq

About the "human greed", the point of view of the Venus Project is that there are no good or bad behaviors but logical reactions to the environment. So, changing the environment is more efficient than trying to change the people.

I fully agree with Patrik,Fresco's concept is(designs)trully visionary, but as far as general population is concerned,it would never take root. Why? Because we're(human race) too greedy, and that(unfortunately)cannot be altered.Road to oblivion is therefore much more realistic, given the mentality of the nationalistic societies of the day.

I agree with Stefan, however Mr Fresco is still worth listening to. Check the site "The Venus Project" to see his visions for different types of settlements and societies. I like his designs!

Aha,but that has been tried before(Marx/Engels),and needless to say,it led to failure.Man's greed will never allow anything like that to take root.I hear them say:"give me oblivian"!
