Basketball: Zoran Dragić Moving to Unicaja Malaga
Slovenian basketball player Zoran Dragić has signed a deal with Spain's Unicaja Malaga. While the deal is not official yet, Dragić confirmed the news for the portal kosarka.si. "I'm very happy that its concluded. I'll travel to Malaga on Tuesday...for an official presentation," said the player.
According to kosarka.si, the younger brother of Phoenix Suns' point guard Goran Dragić will play for the Spanish club for the next two years.
"I had some options, but it's clear that Unicaja showed more interest than [Spain's] Caja Laboral. Unicaja is a great and well managed club that plays in the Euroleague and I'll have a lot of possibilities to prove myself."
Zoran Dragić, born in 1989, started his career at Ljubljana's Ilirija and later moved to Slovan. In 2010, he signed with Krka, with which he won two Slovenian championships and the Eurochallenge Cup in the 2010-2011 season.
He has been a member of the Slovenian national team since 2011.
