In 1764 Robert Adam introduced Split’s Diocletian’s Palace to the world through a folio of exquisitely etched renderings as the architectural crown jewel of the Croatian coast. We continue in his steps, by presenting a selection of Croatia’s modern and contemporary architecture, not associated with the rigid, Euclidean architectural language (which marks the mainstream of architectural production) but featuring a constant stream of liberated architectural spaces inspired by and moulded together with the landscape.
